'Burning Hot' should've been released as a 12", with the original and extended mix(es)!!  Well, water under the bridge... Isaac, if the band's comeback/nostalgia thing's on the table, we've gotta do a serious 12" vinyl release of this for DJs; and as high quality digital, better than iTunes' 192 kbps (crap, IMO).  Or if the economy picks up maybe a CD single release....

Yes, Debbie is wonderful on this track, but what perfects it is the melody, writing, production..everything. I can see from the credits at GEMM about four people were involved on this one.  Sometimes too many writers and producers just makes a forced exercise that much worse. Not in this case!!  Even though Osborne-less L.T.D. had their own 'Burning Hot' a couple years earlier, theirs is lame compared to this truly inspired, what should've been at least as big as anything Rick James (R.I.P.) released, IMO.

Hello Peri,

Yes this song had a few producers. Thomas McClary from the Commodores co-produced with me on this song. I wrote it, but gave credits to him, and Bill Champlin from the group "Chicago", who did a wonderful job with us on the backgrounds.Bill and I did a duet on a song called "Sarah" that I wrote. It's on Youtube.
